Nicknames: A nickname from school was Jade because I had this jade stone necklace that I used to wear all the time.
Birthday: September! My FAVORITE time of year due to fall.
Star Sign: Libra
Hair color: Brown
Hair length: Long
Eye Color: Mainly brown.
Best Feature: I’m going to say tallness, only because that seems to be a compliment I get. This has been something that I’ve had to learn to accept. Most people say that being tall is a positive thing, but it actually makes buying clothes more tricky and shoes, let’s not go there. I’m, so grateful for Amazon, no pun intended. Haha!
Braces: YES – I had them for nearly 5 years which started in 6th grade. It was NO fun.
Right or Left: Right.
Real Holiday: I’m not even sure how to answer this one. I’m going with my first memorable Christmas.
Best Friend: My husband and my mom. They fully understand me and I could tell them anything.
Award: I haven’t received a lot of awards, but I was in band and got various medals during my high school years. The only real ‘award’ that I can remember getting was this 1st place award in elementary school for a scarecrow contest I did.
Sport: I was never into sports. In my high school you had to pick either band or sports, and I picked band. I did try basketball and track once though.
Concert: This is funny. My very first concert was Megadeth and Suicidal Tendencies in 1992. Don’t laugh. I can totally hear you laughing right now.
TV Show(s): Too many! I’ll go with what I’ve been into these past few years. Stranger Things, House of Cards, Bloodline, Poldark, Breaking Bad, The Americans, British Baking Show, Victory Garden, A Chef’s Life, Goliath, Old SNL, and so many more. I ❤ TV.
More Kyle Chandler please!
Color: Dark colors in general. Purple, blacks, etc.
Songs: I think I’ve completely worn everyone out with my love for Chris Cornell, so I’ll branch out and choose some others!
This is such a powerful song by X Ambassadors. It makes me think about my dad. Especially with this video.
This version of “Hurt” by Johnny Cash is so powerful. Plus, I love this video of Logan.
I love this version. It’s such an instrumental song. Mark Lanegan has such a deep baritone voice, but my absolute favorite part in the song is at 1:25 when Layne comes in. I really miss him. So powerful…
Restaurant: I really love Chili’s and any good Mexican restaurants.
Shop: Amazon and eBay. I also ❤ Costco, but mainly shop online. Deals!
Books: A few favorites this year are:
Shoes: Teva Mush Sandles! They are soooo comfortable. You can get them at Amazon.
Feeling: Sick with a summer cold.
Single or Taken: Taken.
Eating: M&M’s – Yikes!
Thinking About: I’m thinking about the fact that I don’t have to water outside this morning because it rained last night.
Watching: I’m watching the WordPress screen. Haha. Tonight I’m watching the last two episodes of The Iron Fist.
Wearing: It’s like 90 degrees outside. Summer atire.
Want Children: Have children.
Want to be Married: Already married. 🙂
Careers in Mind: I have no careers in mind right now. I graduated from college years ago after studying computers and health information management.
Where You Want to Live: I would love to live up north in Maine, Minnesota, or Canada. I love the cold weather and snow. I don’t tolerate heat well.
DO YOU BELIEVE IN:
God: Yes. I was raised Russian Orthodox and believe in the Holy Trinity.
Miracles: Yes, I do believe in miracles.
Love at first sight: I think it’s possible to feel like love at first sight, but it takes more time and is more complicated than that.
Ghosts: Maybe. Technically I haven’t seen one, but I’ve had some weird stuff go on around me before which wasn’t explainable. One time, in the evening, a piano key just played loudly on my piano and nobody was around. THAT was weird. I didn’t see it, I heard it along with my family. It was scary and the fact that everyone else heard it at the same time made it legit. FREAKY!
Aliens: Maybe? There are like 40 billion Earth size planets estimated that are habitable out there in Space. I definitely think it’s possible. Have you guys seen the movie “Signs?” I love that movie.
Soul Mates: Yes, I believe it 100%.
Heaven: Yes. Of course there’s this experience I had when I lived in the city that haunts me. I had a Jehovah’s Witness come to my door and explain to me that when we die, we don’t go to heaven at that time. She told me that we don’t go to heaven until Jesus comes back to Earth. This is what the Scripture says, she pointed it out to me. I really just don’t know about that. I’ve studied people that have experienced NDE’s and I wonder about it. My great uncle passed away in the hospital multiple times and always came back telling us that he knew where he was going and wasn’t afraid to die. He’d seen it. That’s compelling.
Talking about Heaven makes me think about one of my FAVORITE Christmas movie of all time – “It Came Upon The Midnight Clear” with Mickey Rooney. Have you guys seen it? Back when I was a kid, we only had local channels and you had to wait until Christmas for the movie to come on as it was a movie made for TV. Anyways, Mickey Rooney dies in the movie and goes to Heaven right before his plans to visit NYC at Christmas with his grandson. He wants his grandson to see NYC at Christmas time (another goal I have for myself). I don’t want to spoil it for those who might watch it. It’s hard to find and most DVD versions are copied from VHS tapes. You can watch the entire movie on YouTube for FREE.
Hell: Yeah, if you believe in Heaven you have to believe in Hell, right? Maybe Hell will be on Earth. Who knows, but I’m getting ready to start this book about Venus and the author’s theory is that Venus is Hell. I’ve never heard that one before!
Kissing on a first date: Yep!
Yourself: Sometimes I do, sometimes I don’t. I definitely think that I can be socially challenged at times, so I guess it depends on what I’m doing. If I’m cooking, heck yeah I’m confident. If it comes down to playing my guitar and singing in front of someone, then I’m definitely less confident. It just depends on what the situation is.
I wasn’t tagged and won’t be tagging anyone for this, but if you like this, please consider yourself tagged! I love these personal tags because it helps me to get to know fellow bloggers. If you do this tag, please let me know so I can see your answers. Have an awesome day! ❤
