My Pet Tag: Bowie

I found this tag that Jessica Rachow did on her blog and thought it was so cute! If you haven’t checked out her blog yet, please do. You can meet her beautiful pup Cheyenne!

1. What is your pets name?

Her name is Bowie.

Bowie – Early November

2. What kind of pet is it and what breed?

She’s a border collie puppy.

3. How long have you had your pet friend?

Bowie was born on September 12th, 2017. So, about 11 weeks.

4. How did you get your pet?

Bowie was born from Cynder and Winston’s first litter.

Bowie 5-6 weeks old

5. How old is your pet?

She’s about 11 weeks old.

6. What are some quirky things about your pets personality?

She’s your typical pup I suppose. If she gets into the bathrooms, she’ll snag the toilet paper and shred it all over the house. She’s already stolen ornaments off the Christmas tree too. A cute thing she does is steal Winston’ s bone or even his toys. He doesn’t like to share and it’s taking him forever to get used to her. She’s really smart and runs the toys into our bedroom under the bed where the big dogs won’t go.

Bowie with Dad (Winston)

-She tries to jump on the couch repeatedly and flips herself upside down in the process.

-She gets zoomies after her baths and runs all over the house.

-When I ask her to sit for her treat, she sits, but after I give her a treat she slides to the ground because she’s fairly lazy like Winston.

7. What does your relationship with your pet mean to you?

Everything. We love all of our pets and I don’t know what I’d do without them. Each one is unique in their own way and they all amaze me.

8. What are some of your favorite past times with your pet?

-Every morning after she’s gone outside we head into our mudroom to let her eat. She’s so silly. She’ll do tricks for morsels of food even though there’s a whole bowl of food sitting there.

-We love taking them on runs too. I like to jog outside and it’s fun letting her run alongside me. She’s pretty good about staying with me.

9. What are nicknames that you call your pet?

It seems like everyone in the house has their own name for her. I call her Bo, Bo’s, and Bowie. Yesterday I called her Bobo which was weird. My husband calls her Bowsters. My kids call her BowieBowieBowie. She has many variations!

There are so many pets I’d like to get to know. I’m going to go ahead and tag some people, but don’t feel pressured to do the tag if you don’t want to. I’ll be honest and say I have the worst brain fog and I bet I’m forgetting someone which is never my intention. So, if you want to do this tag, please do! You are tagged. I would love to know more about your pet.

Waking up on the wrong side of 50

Thank you for the nomination! This is really fun! I’ll probably end up talking about all my pets cause I don’t think I can choose just one. I loooooooooooooove all your pictures! Bowie is growing so fast! ❤ ❤

    1. Aww, thanks! I know what you mean! I’m going to have to redo the tag a few more times, lol. I thought it might be confusing to do all of our pets together. This tag is so fun though and I can’t wait to see yours! ❤🤗😀

  2. OMG! LOOOOOVVVEE!! She is so adorable! And so nice to have a jogging buddy. I’ve got 2 that are 2 old, one with megaesophagus, and a 6 year old Newf. My husband took her for a walk the other day and she made it to the neighbors house…

    1. Thanks, Ann Marie. I’m sorry to hear about the ME. I had to look that up because I’d never heard of it before. Does that require treatment? Newfies are so awesome! I’ve always wanted one. 😍❤

      1. She has to eat in a special high chair called a Bailey chair. We’ve been lucky that there have been no complications and she’s almost 4. Newf are awesome. Best dogs ever. I’m always saying I want a new Newf.

OMG she’s awesome, collies are such fun to play with because they adore the mental stimulation…………..and I couldn’t stop admiring those eyes, so different!

    1. Thanks, Andrew! That’s so sweet. I was sort of hoping she’d have two different colored eyes just because we’ve never had a dog with two different colored eyes before. Amazing it turned out that way. ❤ They are so fun! Thanks for commenting and take care. 😁

  4. I see a post that includes pet pictures and I click on it. Bowie is adorable; thank you for sharing all about her.

I myself don’t own any pets, which is sad because I love animals. But my boyfriend has a Pit Bull named Roxie and she is the cutest sweetest dog ever, and she loves attention. My brother has a German Shepard named Jager, and he is a pain in the butt, but he is good at alerting us when there are people or cars around the house who he doesn’t know. And then I still consider my brother’s ex-girlfriend (who lives a couple doors down from my mom) to be family, and she has two adorable Australian Shepards named Austin and Kolby, and I love my “nephews.” They are so fun and energetic and full of kisses and cuddles.

    1. Aww! I love all of those names. So unique. It’s great that you have animals around you since you love them. I truly believe they can make us humans healthier and hope you will enjoy your own one day. 😊 Jager sounds like a handful, lol. We had a German Shepard for years and she was a lot of work, but very protective.

Thanks for your sweet words and for reading about Bowie. ❤🤗

    1. Thank you! Isn’t it ironic? If you look back on the post just after their birth, you’ll see that we named her Bowie when she was just a few days old before her eyes were open! We were amazed about her eyes and her right is blue like David Bowies. Well, his both were, but the pupil disorder made his left eye appear brown I believe. 💖😊

        1. I can’t remember. I thought it was congenital, but I’m not positive. I talked about it on a previous post, but I can’t even remember. I have the worst brain fog! Lol. ❤😊🤣
