I learned about Flower Friday from Lorilin@Bugbugbooks and have been having fun sharing some flower pics! Please check out Lorilin’s blog if you haven’t already.

I thought I’d share this beautiful picture of a Christmas cactus bloom. I actually have one of these, but it hasn’t bloomed this year yet. It’s so exciting because they bloom in the winter around Christmas–hence the name “Christmas Cactus.” Here’s what they look like when in bloom.

Thanks for checking out Flower Friday!

My Grandmother Russell always had a Christmas cactus in her house and I remember it bloomed, but I don’t recall if it was during the season. They do have beautiful flowers!

    1. How cool! I’d be willing to bet it was really big. My mom’s was huge and when it bloomed there were hundreds of flowers! They actually grow quite quickly. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on it, David. 🤗❤

    1. Aww, I wonder if it needs more food or something? I was so amazed when my mom’s bloomed. It was full of flowers, but she has a special way with plants for sure. ❤ I’m hoping mine will bloom soon and yours too!

      1. I hate the cold, so yes I am happy we do not have snow. Make no mistake it is pretty darn cold here particularly at night, going to drop some to the very low twenties. I hope you all are staying warm. Cuddle up with your beautiful dogs and that is always a good way to stay warm. Roxy’s cuddled up on her blanket as I speak.
