I came across this wonderful 12 Days of Christmas Blog Challenge over at Abbey’s blog threecatsandagirl. It was originally introduced by abbeycoseattle when she presented it earlier this month. As soon as I saw this, I knew that it would be so much fun. It’s exactly what I’ve been looking for to share some Christmas cheer on my blog. I’d like to say thanks to both of these wonderful ladies!

12 Days of Christmas
For my 4th day I’m going with #5 – Your Favorite Holiday Destination.
One of my favorite Christmas songs is “There’s No Place Like Home for the Holidays” by Perry Como. In fact, I was just listening to it yesterday while playing my old Christmas records.
Oh, there’s no place like home for the holidays
‘Cause no matter how far away you roam
When you pine for the sunshine of a friendly gaze
For the holidays you can’t beat home sweet home!
I met a man who lives in Tennessee, and he was headin’ for
Pennsylvania and some homemade pumpkin pie
From Pennsylvania folks are travellin’
Down to Dixie’s sunny shore
From Atlantic to Pacific
Gee the traffic is terrific!
Oh, there’s no place like home for the holidays
‘Cause no matter how far away you roam
If you wanna to be happy in a million ways
For the holidays you can’t beat home sweet home!

I personally love being home for Christmas, but if I were to go somewhere else for Christmas I would choose a cabin in the snowy woods like the one below.
I’m happiest in the winter when everything is white and love the snow.
For me, snow makes Christmas extra special and I’m really hoping for a white Christmas this year.
Bowie is sure enjoying it!
I love this post… the song, the pics and the sentiment. Home for Christmas indeed. That said, the cabin looks awfully sweet and cozy!

I’ll be with you on this one! I love staying home for Christmas, but I would loooove to spend a quiet time in a wooden cabin in a mountain!! How soothing it must be to listen to the quiet sound of snow falling ❤

I love being at home like you, but I’m imagining the cabin right now, Noriko! Falling snow sounds perfect. I’m really hoping for a white Christmas. ❤ Thank you! 😀

‘Home is where the heart is’ they say and I’d have to agree with them on that. Being the homebody that I am, the holidays are best spent with close family. I have to say though, I can do without the snow! Lol. 😁 🎄🎁

It truly is, but stop complaining about the snow, lol. You’re going to scare it away! 🤣❤

I’m also a fan of being home for Christmas. Nothing like waking up surrounding by your love and the fur babies all warm and cozy in our cocoon. 😁 As for it being a white Christmas, I hope so as well! All that snow only for it to melt. Booo.

So true, Nel. Im thinking about it now and can’t wait. 🎄 I’m sad about the snow melting for sure. 😞 I know it’s coming back, but it might be late! We’re in a bit of a warm up.

Definitely love being home for Christmas. We spend half the day with my side and half the day with my husband’s side. This is the only time of year I really love snow. If it stayed off the roads, I would love it all season! The pictures are great, great post! 😊

Thanks, Jessica. 😊 I agree! Snow is best when you don’t have to drive anywhere. ❤🎄 Have a Merry Christmas!

Snow for Christmas would be spectacular!! I said the same thing as you…home for Christmas, but a cabin in the woods would be a wonderful second option! ❤

I love being home for Christmas! We never leave our house on Christmas Day…it’s just us and the kids and we celebrate with family other days during the holiday. Somehow it just became a tradition that it was our day to be home and be alone, so we just relax, eat, and spend time together. I love it! I would love to have snow, but I can’t remember the last time we had snow on Christmas, and it will be in the mid60s Christmas Day (or so they are saying now!). Crazy!! Just not quite the same. I grew up in the TN mountains, so I remember lots of white Christmases, and I wish my kids could have some too 😦 I hope you get one!! ❤
