I learned about Flower Friday last year from Lorilin@Bugbugbooks and have been having a blast sharing some flower pics. Please check out Lorilin’s blog if you haven’t already for book reviews and more!
As spring approaches and there’s much work to be done outside, I’m thinking about some of our landscape flowers. This is one of my favorites. It’s a type of Veronica longifolia if I’m correct. I almost thought it was a type of Meadow Sage or Woodland Sage, but I’m pretty sure I’ve identified it correctly. What do you think?
If you look closely, you can see a bumble bee.
Butterflies also love this plant!
-Also known as Garden Speedwell-
Scientific name: Veronica longifolia
Higher classification: Speedwell
Rank: Species
I thought I’d share another picture that one of my children took of a kitten we adopted. This is another tablet photo. It’s Sullivan, aka Sully.
HAPPY FRIDAY!

So this is what this flower called… Hahaha.. Seriously I grew up in a farm but im stupid with things like this. 🙂 🙂
The kitten reminds me of our own…One of our cats is missing right now and we’re so worried.

I’m hoping this is what it’s called! I could be wrong. You’d think I would know because I planted it, but I think this was one of those perennial sales and I might not have been paying attention, lol.
Sorry your kitty is missing. Is it outdoor I take it? We’ve had a few leave before and then show back up. I hope this is the case with yours. Take care! ❤

Exactly! That’s what I thought it was at first and then once I researched, I was wrong. I do have some other sages out there and I wasn’t sure because they all look similar, but this one has jagged leaves. They are all so beautiful to me. I’m glad you love this one. Thank you and have a wonderful Friday and weekend yourself, Robin! ❤

I’m just going to agree with you because I don’t know flowers at all. I’m glad its attracting bumblebees and if the weather and decide to actually BE spring then hopefully you’ll attract more. 🙂 Sullivan is a cute little lion! Happy Friday, Jenn! ❤

This makes me so excited for spring. 🙂 We got hit with a blizzard out of nowhere right before the weekend, so I really needed something to redeem my hopes for warmer weather and flowers! 😛
Lovely pics. Don’t you just love seeing bumble bees among the flowers? And what an adorable photo of your kitty! ❤
