-Music Monday-
This meme was created by Drew @ The Tattooed Book Geek. You pick a song that you really like and share it on Monday.
I just finished the book this morning and I’ve seen the movie probably twenty times, no joke. It’s an amazing story how the song came about. I’ll be reviewing the book in the next few days. Hope you enjoy the song and movie trailer below.
Lyrics:
I can only imagine what it will be like
When I walk by your side
I can only imagine what my eyes will see
When your face is before me
I can only imagine
Yeah
Surrounded by your glory
What will my heart feel?
Will I dance for you, Jesus,
Or in awe of you be still?
Will I stand in your presence
Or to my knees will I fall?
Will I sing hallelujah?
Will I be able to speak at all?
I can only imagine
I can only imagine
I can only imagine when that day comes
And I find myself standing in the sun
I can only imagine when all I will do
Is forever, forever worship you
I can only imagine, yeah
I can only imagine
Surrounded by your glory
What will my heart feel?
Will I dance for you, Jesus,
Or in awe of you be still?
Will I stand in your presence
Or to my knees will I fall?
Will I sing hallelujah?
Will I be able to speak at all?
I can only imagine
Yeah
I can only imagine
Surrounded by your glory
What will my heart feel?
Will I dance for you, Jesus,
Or in awe of you be still?
Will I stand in your presence
Or to my knees will I fall?
Will I sing hallelujah?
Will I be able to speak at all?
I can only imagine
Yeah
I can only imagine
I can only imagine
Yeah
I can only imagine
I can only imagine
I can only imagine
I can only imagine
When all I will do
Is forever, forever worship you
I can only imagine

What a wonderful share. I was this movie and read the children’s book based on the idea behind the song and they were all so inspirational.

The children’s book is really good too! I picked up the board book for my youngest and we all enjoyed it. It’s a great story and there’s so much more in the book. I’ll review soon. Hope all is well with you! 💕

Things are great. Foot is pretty well healed. My grandson and I had quite the discussion when we read it. Hope all is going well and the kids have all settled in to a new school year.

Oh, I hear you. I’m not big into country either, but they are actually a Christian band. The book was really good and I’ll review it soon. Hope all is well with you! 😁❤

What a great post to begin the work week! I loved the movie, but I didn’t realize there was a book. Thanks for that, Jenn. I’ll definitely read it because I felt that the movie was a little “light” on God’s role in Bart’s life.
Also, I can’t sing. I wish I could because I’ve always wanted to be a part of the worship team. In my vivid imagination, I’m belting out I Can Only Imagine to Abba—a packed sanctuary singing along—and falling to my knees as if it’s only me and Him. One day… 😇🙏🏽💛

I agree on the movie! I felt the same way and you wouldn’t believe how much more is shared in the book. I couldn’t understand why they didn’t include some things (which seemed integral) in the movie, but I guess they could only fit so much.
I’m with you! I don’t sing great, but we live in the middle of nowhere and I sing very loudly outside. 😂 One of my absolute favorites by MercyMe is “Where I Belong”. It’s hard to contain myself. Seriously! What a connection I get with that one. I’m sure you’ve heard it. Another is “Dear Younger Me”. I wouldn’t attempt singing those too loudly at church, but I can really wail them out at home lol. 😘💒❤

They’re a Christian band, but I guess they do sound a little country. The movie is really good and I hope you get to see it! Thanks, Teri. 😁❤
