Flower Friday: Garden Phlox #FlowerFriday #Flowers #Phlox #Perennials

I discovered Flower Friday while visiting Lorilin@Bugbugbooks and decided to begin sharing some flower pictures from our gardens along with some information about them. Please check out Lorilin’s blog if you haven’t already for book reviews and more!

I’ll be creating a Flower Friday page where all previous Flower Friday shares will be available by links.

Today’s share:

Garden Phlox

Native to the U.S., garden phlox is a flowering plant that can be found just about anywhere; in fact, I came across this beautiful flower while driving my car down the road just a few days ago. It’s hard to miss their vivid colors.

37A89837-1902-44C3-B6E9-6DA63884254BPhlox gets its name from the Latin word for “flame,” reflecting its bright colors. Garden phlox are loved by pollinators and have become important food sources for insects and hummingbirds.

Scientific name: Phlox paniculata

Thanks for checking out Flower Friday! What do you have blooming this week? Have a wonderful weekend!

Very pretty! I like the bright pink. Don’t these also come in other colors? Seems like I remember seeing blue and purple too. Nice share Jen! 🌺
