The Bookaholics Anonymous Book Tag #books #booktag

Hello everyone! I’m back with a fun book tag. I haven’t been reading enough to keep up with regular posts, so this seems like a fun idea as book tags seem to be a thing of the past here at readrantrockandroll. Today I will be doing the bookaholics anonymous book tag which I found on A Rambling Reviewer. Let’s go!

What do you like about buying books?

I love the entire book-buying experience, whether it be online or in the store. It’s exciting adding new books to our home library, and it evokes happy emotions.

How often do you buy books?

Buying books is quite regular in our house. Whenever I have extra book money to spend, it burns a hole. It seems like I’m always purchasing a book for someone, especially my children. There isn’t a week that goes by where a new book isn’t entering our home.

Bookstore or online book shopping – which do you prefer?

This is a difficult choice because we buy books in store and online. It’s convenient to have books shipped to your house for free if you spend, say, thirty-five dollars or more. How awesome is it to purchase a book online and have it delivered to your mailbox next day? Amazon used to be my favorite online book store, but dealing with constant book damage became tiresome. Barnes, however, always ships in a box. With that said, buying books online may be convenient, but there’s nothing like getting lost within the shelves of books.

Do you have a favourite bookshop?

We live rural, and the closest book store is Barnes & Noble. It’s about a forty-five minute drive or so. That remains my favorite place to buy books. The people are very nice there, and they have a super-friendly, knowledgeable manager on staff who’s always there. He has a smile on his face every time we visit and asks if we need assistance. We’ve had multiple conversations, and it’s something I always look forward to. Sadly, there just aren’t that many book stores anymore.

Do you pre-order books?

Sometimes I do. At one point we pre-ordered books on Amazon.com because it would come to your mailbox the day of release. We try to refrain from using Amazon.com at all anymore, especially for books. Now I usually just head in to the store and buy the book the day of release.

Do you have a monthly book buying limit?

I don’t have a limit, but our bank account isn’t unlimited. We normally watch what we spend on books, but we splurge whenever possible.

How big is your wishlist?

I’m glad this question refers to wishlist rather than TBR. 🤣 Believe it or not, I don’t have a huge wishlist. It’s probably under ten books that I have in mind for purchase right now; however, if I walked around in the bookstore, my memory would be refreshed.

That’s the end of the questions for now. I won’t tag anyone, but if you would like to do this tag, please do! I’d love to see your answers.
