Asiatic Lilies

I’m assuming that these are Asiatic and not hybrids because they are very short and never get above 2-3 feet. I believe mine are maroon and pink, although the maroon almost look purple.

Flower Friday: Lupine

Today’s Flower is:

Lupine

This is a flower from the legume family that blooms tall spiky flowers that taper at the top. The spikes produce multiple sweat pea-like flowers.

Flower Friday: Veronica longifolia and Sullivan the Kitten – March 2nd

As spring approaches and there’s much work to be done outside, I’m thinking about some of our landscape flowers. This is one of my favorites. It’s a type of Veronica longifolia if I’m correct. I almost thought it was a type of Meadow Sage or Woodland Sage, but I’m pretty sure I’ve identified it correctly. What do you think?
