Yarrow is an herb I started growing about five or six years ago. I developed an interest in using it as a poultice powder for wounds and tea for pain and relaxation. So far, I’ve only used it for tea. It has many different medicinal uses. Continue reading “Flower Friday: Yarrow #FlowerFriday #Gardening #Flowers #Herbs”

Asiatic Lilies

I’m assuming that these are Asiatic and not hybrids because they are very short and never get above 2-3 feet. I believe mine are maroon and pink, although the maroon almost look purple.

As spring approaches and there’s much work to be done outside, I’m thinking about some of our landscape flowers. This is one of my favorites. It’s a type of Veronica longifolia if I’m correct. I almost thought it was a type of Meadow Sage or Woodland Sage, but I’m pretty sure I’ve identified it correctly. What do you think?
